Classical riding?

Yesterday I had the opportunity to watch Hubertus Schmidt on Wansuela Suerte in the olympics. That ride was very close to classical ideals - in my opinion. Maybe as close as it is possible to be - and still perform the movements in the required time. I thought that if this is possible on this level - then maybe there is a chance for classical dressage after all. Does anybody here know where he trained?/Margareta

As to the original questions, he mentions going to clinics, I didn\'\'t get the impression he had a steady coach.
