international lightness

It is obvious that "lightness" concerns many of us.
The ALLEGE-IDEAL "forum" is an international "arena corner" for all those who are concerned by our aims and wish to help/see lightness become inseparable from a harmonious, brilliant and performing equitation practised in respect of the horse\'s physical and mental well-being.
Let us not add language differences to our equestrian concern even if the FEI has decided to stop all publications in French! Another good reason to be "international".
Lightness is regardless of language!
Post in any language and you\'ll surely get a reply because lightness in equitation concerns - internationaly - many of us.
To be strong and useful, we need to be many.
We count on you to join us and keep on spreading the word around.

I was surprised to learn from this post that the FEI dropped publishing the French version of its rules. Is the Olympic Committee doing this also?
However, I am not surprised to see the English language prevail as an International Language. It prevails thanks to its simplicty. Let\'s hope that its vocabulary will catch up with the wealth of equestrian vocabulary displayed in the European litterature.
Lightness, indeed, reaches beyond all boundaries. It opens to sensitive riders a way to elevate their communication with horses. Therefore, I believe that the best way for an International group to communicate should not be restricted to words. It should include visual aids, pictures, and videos relaying clear messages.
Does Allege-Ideal have a plan to post pictures and videos to display performances of role models?
Pictures are not enough. I demonstrate this in one of my web sites. It shows Catherine Henriquet riding the Russain Holsteiner Allyance at my brother\'s place in Brazil in August of 1999. She is trying to get Allyance to perform piaffe right in front of the gate of the indoor arena. The web site invites people in judging what the picture conveys. A short video shows what really happened. If you wish to see it visit the site at:

If you watch it, remember that Catherine was there only for a few days. She tried the impossible. She was a good sport. To me it was a pleasure to see how with light aids she obtained results without resorting to force. Of course, she finally succeeded when the pressure was off while we started to pack our cameras. Proving that lightness arises when the pressure is off.
Thanks to the good light training of the Henriquets and the respect for the light tradition given to the horses at my brother\'s place, Allyance is now a confirmed Grand Prix horse who could take a competitor a long way.
